About the Artist

Laurie studied Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania, developing a rigorous command of traditional painting and color theory that she now puts to work on subjects ranging from the quietly beautiful to the delightfully odd. Based at the Jersey Shore, she is currently taking inspiration everyday life living at the beach. The result is realism with a contemporary pulse—meticulous without being fussy and always looking for the moment when something ordinary becomes unexpectedly compelling.
